Project for a single family house on a small extended site facing the main street of Volpiano, a small town close to Turin.
The main structure in concrete plays on the lighter roof structure and its supporting pillars, both in glued-laminated timber. The simple covering, made of Rheinzink panels curved on their lower border helps to show the detachment between the two elements mentioned above.
The closed frame of the plan leads to a significant distribution of the interior spaces, giving to the living functions a strict logical sequence: there is no entrance or corridor on the two levels.
The entire house is focused on the double height living area, open to the garden on both levels. The above enclosure is made out of glass curtain wall.
